The 2024 consultation

During the May 2024 consultation on Auckland’s draft Regional Land Transport Plan, Professor Amir and Professor Ali GhaffarianHoseini set out suggestions on public transport integration, walking and cycling, emissions, data-led decisions and the relationship between transport and urban development.

A research perspective

The commentary argued for decisions that connect transport infrastructure with climate resilience and people’s everyday experience of the city. It is presented here as a record of the 2024 discussion, rather than an invitation to a current consultation.
