The story

Research reaching practice

A Canadian construction-workforce report draws on Professor Amir’s healthy-building research and building-rating research in its analysis of climate literacy and net-zero construction.

How the research was used

The indoor-air discussion uses the sick-building review when explaining ventilation and occupant health. A later section draws on the Doan-led rating-systems review involving Professor Amir to frame voluntary building standards and the skills needed for net-zero construction.

The documented contribution

This is research informing workforce-training analysis. The report was compiled by John Calvert and Lee Loftus for Building It Green; the source does not establish Professor Amir’s report authorship or adoption of a training curriculum.
