The story

The study

Research co-authored by Professor Amir examined students’ perceptions and experiences of different educational spaces at AUT City Campus, considering factors associated with mood and mental state.

Comfort and learning environments

Indoor thermal comfort emerged as a particularly important factor in the study. The findings add an occupant-focused perspective to the design and evaluation of university spaces, alongside the technical performance of buildings.
