Research reaching practice
RINNO’s public knowledge series draws on two of Professor Amir’s studies to explain digital approaches to deep renovation.
How the research was used
One article attributes BIM benefits—including interoperability, information capture, cost control and whole-life applicability—to the BIM-uptake review. A second cites the BIM-IKBMS study when explaining how simulation can visualise promising energy-control strategies. Together they show research translated for a renovation-project audience.
The documented contribution
28–29 November 2023 · BIM benefits and simulation use-case sections. One project case with two research connections. The articles demonstrate knowledge transfer, rather than authorship of RINNO’s software or measured pilot savings.
