Going international

After two editions in Auckland, the GDI conference series that Amir co-founded moves to Kuala Lumpur in 2027.

The hosts

GDI2027 is hosted by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Malaysia with a consortium of Malaysian universities, chaired by Amir with Professor Ali GhaffarianHoseini and Professor Rahinah Ibrahim of Universiti Putra Malaysia, where Amir completed his MArch and PhD.

Full circle

The move brings the series back to the region where Amir began his academic career, and where he remains Adjunct Research Faculty at the University of Malaya.
