Amplifying new voices

In April 2021, AUT's School of Future Environments hosted the New Zealand Green Building Council's Future Thinker of the Year awards, which recognise a student or recent graduate with the passion, knowledge and leadership to drive change in green building in Aotearoa.

Part of a longer thread

The evening continued the School's partnership with the Green Building Council that began with the World Green Building Week evening of 2019, and it reflects the student-led, practice-facing research culture Amir and his colleagues have built at AUT. In 2022, a doctoral researcher from the team was shortlisted for the same award.
